Terms & Conditions
Returns
This returns policy applies to all genuine BMG Ltd products.
All products are delivered in a security sealed tamper proof packet for viewing. You can check quality, size and have a good look. Once satisfied you can open the packet and the jewellery becomes yours. WARNING on opening the packet the product cannot be returned due to hygiene regulations, unless faulty and this does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. However if you have not tampered or opened the packet it may be returned by registered post within 14 days for a full (less postage and packaging charged) money back guarantee. As all items are handmade- all refunds will be minus £10 per item (not including shipping fees).
When sending something back, please include a note to us, letting us know that you would like a refund. This way we can tell immediately what needs doing and will provide a quicker service for you.
Alterations
An Alterations Form must be filled in for all alterations, exchanges and upgrades.
We offer a great alterations service for our customers. If you find that your jewellery is not fitting properly - we can make jewellery smaller/shorten it. Please be aware that we cannot make it longer as this requires a full remake. In most cases there will be an option available to you if your jewellery does not fit well. Please contact us for more information before sending anything back to us. Any alterations will incur a minimum of £15 charge.
Exchanges
We will only accept exchanges if the jewellery is unopened in the tamper-proof bag, or if the jewellery is faulty. You must contact us for return instructions before sending anything back for an exchange. As all items are handmade- all refunds will be minus £10 per item (not including shipping fees).
As professional piercers we understand the seriousness of hygiene. Therefore we are unable to exchange or refund items removed from the view bags & items with broken view bags, unless they are faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. This will be at our discretion.
Guarantee
It is unusual for any manufacturer of body jewellery to offer you a guarantee. We are so proud of our quality and workmanship that all BMG products carry a lifetime guarantee.
We guarantee that the product is as we describe i.e.. 14ct nickel free gold means just that.
We guarantee that the gemstone is a genuine mined and cut stone as described in your letter of authenticity.
We guarantee your product for a lifetime taking into account normal wear and tear.
We guarantee to replace, repair or refund at our discretion goods should they prove faulty.
In the rare event of making a claim you will require your receipt, invoice number and letter of guarantee . Contact us stating the nature of your complaint and we will issue you with details for return and inspection of the goods. Please be aware that as we are dealing with implantation jewellery, strict hygiene regulations prevent us from changing jewellery for items you have ordered the wrong size etc. Although you can return tapped ended products for shortening, we cannot make them longer without re-making them.
Items are sterilized and sent in a tamper proof view bag so you can have a good look at the workmanship and gemstone quality before you open it and complete the sale.
Should the tamper bag be broken or torn we cannot refund or exchange the goods without a valid complaint.
Please remember we do this for your protection.
Delivery
All of our jewellery items will be handmade by our on-site goldsmith when the order comes in. Orders can take up to 14 working days to complete, and in busier times can take longer. This is because we don't want to rush your orders, as this could result in a compromise of quality. Nose studs take on average 7 working days production time, and larger items can take longer. If you place a custom order, production time will be discussed with you separately.
If you select the UPS delivery (2-3 day courier) option at checkout - your order will be prioritized, and will usually be dispatched within 7 days. Meaning this could take up to 10 days. Also, BMG Jewellery are not responsible for import duties or any other charges relating to importing goods into the country of you origin.

Please see our Delivery Information page for delivery costs and times.
We do ship to most places, please contact us for more details on delivery to specific countries.
Please Note: These delivery times are counted from when the orders are shipped. So once we receive the order it is made up. They are then shipped out to you via your selected delivery option.
Very rarely, delivery can take longer due to unforeseen circumstances with the postal service. We cannot be held responsible for this delay, although we will do everything we can to help in this situation.
If for some reason your order gets lost in transit - we will send out a replacement free of charge. We have to wait for the order to be missing for 25 working days before we can claim the order as lost, so we will not send the free replacement until this time has passed. We request a proof of delivery signature for all items we send out - so if the order has been signed for, then we will not send a replacement.
We cannot be held responsible if you miss the delivery attempt of your parcel, if this happens and you do not rearrange the delivery, the postal service will return the parcel to us. In this event we can resend it but you will have to pay for the second postal charges.

Nickel Directive
From July 2000 the European Nickel Directive has been enforced. This legally applies to all body jewellery sold within the EEC member countries Inc the United Kingdom. At present many other countries Inc the United States of America have no nickel regulations in force. For your own safety and peace of mind BMG recommends that only nickel free jewellery should be purchased for the long-term health of a body piercing.
Nickel can cause in some people, an allergic reaction. Research has proven that sensation frequently results from healing (epithelization) following a body piercing.
The regulations have been designed to reduce the sensation allergic reaction to those people already sensitized.
Body jewellery inserted into the body during a piercing and worn during the healing period, must contain less than 0.05% nickel. Body jewellery worn after the healing period, must release nickel at a rate of less than 0.05^g (microgram's) per square centimetre per week.
BMG Gold & Platinum is extensively tested at:
- Point of manufacture.
- Point of export to the UK (on items made overseas).
- Finally by Goldsmiths Assay office in London UK (Goldsmiths is now the BMG registered office for Assay testing and marking in the UK.
